One of Vincent van Goghs paintings. It shows three women that are picking olives from the olive trees. The central motif is the three women, two of them are on a ladder and the other is helping them. The sky is very lively, the earth is calm and dependable altough living (mother earth), the skies are not calm, they are moving and ever changing in this painting.

A portrait of a young woman by Camille Pissaro. The central motif is the young peasant girl with the straw hat. The young peasant girl looks tired and sits with her hands in her lap. She looks out of the picture like she is thinking of something as she has a brake from the hard work on the farm. She is important in this picture, everything else is not as detailed as the girl is.

Another portrait of a young woman, this one by Leonardo da Vinci. In this picture is the woman the positive shape and the black background is the negative shape. Leonardo da Vinci studied anatomy and I can see that he has tried to get everything anatomically correct; everything is very detailed from her hands to her face. She looks out of the picture but the ermine looks at us. She is from a wealthy family, her clothes looks, as they are expensive.
