This little river runs to the south of Luleå. The picture is from the old steelwork of Selets Bruk. Today this is a popular place for people who like to go on a picnic. I like to go by the river with a fishing rod in my hand.
Dame Juliana Berner a women who lived in England in the fifteenth Century wrote this about the angler: " He has his wholesome and merry walk at his ease, and a sweet breath of the sweet smell of the meadow flowers, that makes him hungry. He hears the melodious harmony of birds. He sees the young swans, herons, ducks, coots and many other birds and their broods ... And if the angler catches fish, surely then there is no man merrier than he is in his spirit "
