Theme: The Turbulent Sixties (1961-1968)

The 1960s were a time of change - a decade marked equally by progress defeat. The  new style of President John F. Kennedy, John Glennīs earth orbit. President Johnssonīs innovative domestic polices and the civil rights and womenīs movements infused America with life. By contrast, even such as the shocking assassinations of JFK, Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy; riots; and the statement of the Vietnam War overshadowed the buoyant mood, breeding frustration and anger.
